Evaluation

Yasuke Simulator launched on March 20, 2025 and has been actively updated since. The developer shipped several patches in the weeks after launch, followed by a major graphics and gameplay update on January 26, 2026 that added Steam Deck support and UI localisation improvements. On July 27, 2026, the developer released the first story expansion — Rise of the Takeda Clan — adding 10 new story chapters, new environments, enemies, cutscenes, and music. At the end of that announcement, the developer explicitly stated: "More updates are already in development." A follow-up patch on August 12, 2026 improved the DLC's enemy AI, boss fights, level design, and other elements, showing continued active work. Additionally, the Original Soundtrack DLC remains listed on the store as unreleased with no release date, representing another piece of content the developer has publicly signaled is still coming. Together, the developer's own statement about ongoing development and the unreleased OST DLC make clear this game is not yet complete.
