Evaluation
Yomi launched on Steam on May 8, 2015 and received a flurry of patches and feature updates throughout 2015 and into early 2016. Its only DLC — the Expansion Characters pack — shipped on August 4, 2015, completing the full roster of 20 characters that was part of the game's original design. All post-launch updates were patches and quality-of-life improvements; no new characters, modes, or content expansions were announced or released after that point.
The most recent developer post mentioning Yomi was a November 21, 2023 sale announcement, which referenced the game only in passing alongside other Sirlin Games titles and the sequel Yomi 2. There have been no feature updates, patches, or content announcements for Yomi since the February 16, 2016 patch. The developer's focus has clearly shifted to Yomi 2, the successor game currently in Early Access. With all planned content shipped and no indication of any further updates, Yomi appears to be a finished product.
