On February 20, 2026, NIS America announced "Ys X: Proud Nordics," described explicitly as the "new, definitive Ys X" experience. This upgraded edition adds brand new story content integrated into the campaign, a Coliseum mode, the Ceaseless Sea, and Muspelheim challenges, along with quality-of-life improvements across the board. Owners of the original Nordics were offered a discounted "Special Upgrade Pack" available from March 6 to August 31, 2026.
