Z Dawn launched out of Early Access on December 6, 2019, after approximately 2.5 years of development. At launch, the developer explicitly stated that no DLC is planned and that all future content additions would be delivered as free updates to existing owners. Following the 1.0 release, the game received a steady stream of feature updates through 2020, with the last identifiable major content drop — Update #36, which added dog companions and expanded character options — arriving on December 21, 2020. After that point, developer communications dropped off significantly. The most recent news post (August 23, 2025) is a cross-promotional post advertising the developer's other game, Paws Against the World, and a bundle deal — it contains no new content for Z Dawn itself. There have been no feature patches, content updates, or roadmap announcements for Z Dawn since late 2020. Given the developer's own statement that no DLC is planned, the absence of any unreleased content listings, and the long silence on Z Dawn-specific updates, the game appears to be a complete, finished product.

Description
Z Dawn is a fast-paced turn-based with roguelike elements in which you have to survive in the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse. The ultimate goal is to find a cure and evacuate the survivors. To survive, you must scavenge for supplies and deal with many random encounters. Build, upgrade your encampment and deal with zombies, zombie bosses, raiders and much more!
● Explore the wilderness left behind and find different locations
● Search for resources, weapons, ammunition, clothes, food, medicine
● Manage survivors individually and equip them accordingly to their favorite skills
● Build, upgrade and fortify your encampment to withstand the hordes of zombies
