Thea 2: The Shattering

Thea 2: The Shattering launched on May 13, 2019 and received several content updates over its lifecycle. On March 19, 2020, the developer explicitly stated that the update released that day would be "the last official update for Thea 2: The Shattering," and that while they would fix critical bugs, they did not plan to add any additional features or content. That statement was the clearest possible signal that content development was ending. Despite that declaration, the developer did release one more notable free content drop — "Rat Tales & More" — announced on May 10, 2023, which added new events, character classes, pets, and other content. This post-2020 update represents the last known content addition to the game. All three DLC in the store listing are marked as released, and no unreleased DLC exists. The developer's focus has clearly shifted to their next game, Project Thea, which entered Early Access in November 2025. A March 2026 promotional post about a Steam sale mentioned that Thea 2 "will receive a language update later this year," but a localization patch is a maintenance update — not new gameplay content — and does not indicate new content development. The developer has not announced any additional content for Thea 2 beyond that localization update. The game is complete. All announced content has shipped, the developer formally declared the end of content development in 2020, and the studio has moved on to a new project.
