Evaluation

Zero Caliber 2 Remastered launched on October 30, 2025. The launch post explicitly stated that "post-launch content updates are already in the works," and the developer has followed through consistently since then. A bug-fix patch shipped on November 5, 2025. On January 19, 2026, a substantial update arrived covering refined gunplay, smarter enemy AI, new weapons (Moss500 Black Edition and VSS), new weapon skins (the Pulse series), deeper weapon customization options, and a large number of fixes. On March 4, 2026, another update added Borderlands-inspired Toon character and hand skins — unlockable for free through in-game progression — along with further bug fixes and mechanic polish. The March 4, 2026 post closed with the developer stating that "there's quite a bit cooking," indicating active work beyond that point. The store description has also been updated to promote the Toon skins as the latest new content addition. The two major content updates since launch (January and March 2026) established a cadence of roughly six to eight weeks between significant releases. Today's date is September 24, 2026, which is approximately six and a half months since the last developer communication on March 4, 2026 — pushing right up to and slightly past the typical six-month silence threshold. However, the prior cadence between these updates was relatively short, and the developer's closing remark about "quite a bit cooking" suggests further content was planned. There is no developer statement announcing the end of updates, no completion announcement, and no "final update" communication. Given the active post-launch track record and the explicit developer hint of ongoing work, the game is best assessed as still receiving substantial post-launch content — though the extended silence since March 2026 slightly tempers confidence.

About this game

NEW CONTENT DROPPED - TOON SKINS

### THE SEQUEL ###

Your favorite all-in-one VR FPS is back - and it’s better in every way!
Zero Caliber 2 Remastered is the full-blown sequel to the original, built on everything we learned during development and shaped by community feedback.

We’ve been giving it everything we’ve got to deliver the kind of VR shooter the PCVR community actually deserves - no lazy ports, no shortcuts.

Expect intense, cinematic firefights, airstrikes, a massive arsenal to unlock, improved weapon handling, full campaign (solo or co-op), and head-to-head PvP.

The story picks up right where the first game left off - only louder, faster, and more explosive.
