Zombie Bar Simulator (also known as Horror Bar VR) launched into Early Access on October 30, 2020, and graduated to its full 1.0 release on February 25, 2021. During Early Access and shortly after launch, the developer actively maintained the game — shipping a holiday-themed update in December 2020, a re-balance patch in September 2021, and a Free Mode feature update in May 2022. The May 2022 update was the last substantive content addition to the game. The most recent developer communication, from November 22, 2022, teased "a new version of Horror Bar VR with additional features and refreshed gameplay" but nothing was ever delivered on that promise. There have been no developer posts, patches, or announcements of any kind since November 22, 2022 — over three and a half years of silence as of June 2026. Given the game's history of relatively frequent updates (multiple patches per year from 2020 through 2022), this prolonged silence strongly suggests development has ended. The November 2022 teaser was almost certainly either abandoned or referred to minor work that was quietly dropped. The store description makes no mention of planned future content, season passes, or ongoing updates. No unreleased DLC is listed. The game appears to have shipped as a complete product, with the Free Mode update in May 2022 representing the final meaningful addition to its content.
