ZUSI 3 - Aerosoft Edition launched on June 18, 2019 and has been receiving continuous updates ever since. The developer has shipped major content releases at a consistent pace, adding new route modules, vehicles, timetables, and simulation systems throughout the game's life. The most recent major content drop was on April 17, 2025, which introduced new route modules for the Augsburg-Donauwörth and Kassel-Bebra corridors, new locomotives and multiple units, and additional timetable content. This was followed by feature patches and bug fixes: Update 3.5.10.6 on June 10, 2025, Update 3.5.11.0 on July 4, 2025, Update 3.5.12.0 on December 23, 2025, and Patch 3.5.13.0 on March 30, 2026. As of the July 2025 update, the simulator includes over 2,200km of routes and more than 300 vehicles in 1,600+ variants — figures that have grown substantially since launch. Looking at the history of major content releases, the developer has maintained a cadence of roughly every 6–12 months between significant content additions, with regular feature patches in between. The last major content update was April 17, 2025, and the last developer communication of any kind was March 30, 2026. As of today (October 1, 2026), roughly 18 months have passed since the last major content drop and about 6 months since the last patch. While 6 months of silence approaches the upper end of the established pattern, the developer's cadence has historically stretched to 12 months or more between major content updates, and the game has never gone without eventually receiving another round of new routes and vehicles. No announcement of development conclusion has been made.
