1849 launched on May 8, 2014 and received one paid DLC — Nevada Silver — on September 16, 2014. A free "Epilogue" update was added on July 24, 2015 to mark the game's Gold Edition, adding two final scenarios. That post framed the content as a celebratory conclusion to the game's story. No further content updates have been released since then, and the single DLC listed on the store is fully released. SomaSim's subsequent developer communications shifted entirely to their next title, Project Highrise, with a pre-order announcement in August 2016 and a console release in November 2018 — confirming the studio moved on from 1849 years ago. All content for 1849 has been shipped, and no further updates or DLC have been announced.
