8-Bit Adventures 1: The Forgotten Journey Remastered Edition launched on May 22, 2015. Its only paid DLC — a soundtrack pack — released on July 14, 2015. There has been no post-launch content added to this game since then, and the developer has made no announcements of future content for it. It's worth noting that the developer's news posts on this page are almost entirely focused on 8-Bit Adventures 2 (a separate sequel), including its January 31, 2023 launch and teases of free post-launch DLC for that game. Those communications relate to the sequel, not to this title. The last meaningful developer activity touching this game was the DLC soundtrack release in July 2015, and the developer has never indicated any plans to add further content to 8-Bit Adventures 1. The game launched as a complete, standalone JRPG experience and has remained so.
