9 Days launched on March 8, 2024 and has been receiving a continuous stream of substantial post-launch content from its solo developer ever since, accumulating 20 major content updates across its lifetime. On October 20, 2025, the developer announced that one final major content update was planned as a "send-off" for this version of the game [NEWS-4]. That update — the All Dimensional story expansion — shipped on December 23, 2025 and was explicitly described as "the final major story expansion" [NEWS-3]. The developer stated they would continue with bug fixes, balance tweaks, and quality-of-life improvements going forward. However, the developer's actual output in 2026 went well beyond maintenance. The Two Year Update (Patch 1.3, March 10, 2026) introduced a new competitive tournament with global leaderboards and a full economy rework [NEWS-5]. Patch 1.4 (May 16, 2026) added an entirely new crafting system (the Dimensional Forge) and a new wave-based game mode called The Proving [NEWS-6]. This is consistent with the October 2025 roadmap that described eventual work on a "next version" of 9 Days. The developer has not announced that content development for the current game has concluded.
