YAR: Forgotten Throne

YAR: Forgotten Throne launched on April 3, 2026 after approximately three years of development, including an Early Access period. On March 14, 2026 — just before the final release — the developer made an explicit statement: "This is the final content update. The entire game is now complete. All future updates will focus on polishing — fixing bugs, improving functionality, and addressing your feedback." The April 3 release post reinforced this, framing the launch as the completion of a long journey and making no mention of planned expansions or additional paid content. Post-launch activity has been consistent with this "polish-only" posture. Update 1.1 on April 10, 2026 added a missing story ending (the Mermaid ending) and a handful of quality-of-life fixes. On May 13, 2026, the developer confirmed that the English text and voice-over were fully implemented — a task that had been in progress at launch. No new content has been announced since. Both DLC items are already released: an Early Access bonus pack from July 2024 and a music pack released April 9, 2026. No unreleased DLC is listed on the store. Today's date is October 1, 2026 — nearly six months since launch — with no indication from the developer of any planned expansions, new content, or further paid releases. The developer's March 14 completion statement, the launch framing, and the absence of any post-launch content announcements across nearly six months all point to the same conclusion: the game shipped as a finished product and content development is complete. The previous evaluation's uncertainty about whether future expansions might be announced has not materialized.
