ENDALOR entered Early Access on March 30, 2026, after more than three years of development by a two-person team at Diorite Games. At launch, the developers were explicit that Early Access is "just the beginning of this journey," with plans to expand the game with new regions, additional enemies and bosses, and continued improvements to combat, crafting, and progression. Since launch, the team has maintained an active update cadence. Multiple hotfixes shipped in late March and April 2026, followed by a feature update on May 20, 2026 that added a map system and new gear, and another on July 2, 2026 that introduced a new Katana weapon type along with controller support and other improvements. The July 2 post explicitly states the team is continuing work on a "mountain castle expansion," which is expected to bring new weapon types, armor, enemies, and bosses — confirming a named, in-progress content addition is on the way. The game is clearly a work in progress by design, with active development and a concrete expansion currently in the works.
