A Hole New World launched on May 19, 2017 as a complete, self-contained arcade-style action game. After release, the developer shipped one post-launch update on December 18, 2017 (version 1.1), which added bug fixes, controller improvements, and new language localizations for Russian and Polish. No new gameplay content was announced or released after that point. The developer subsequently moved on to a new project, Kemono Heroes, announcing its Nintendo Switch release on February 27, 2020. The only DLC ever listed — a soundtrack — shipped on the same day as the base game. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no roadmaps, and no announcements of future content for A Hole New World. The last developer communication directly related to the game was the version 1.1 patch on December 18, 2017. The game launched as a finished product and received only minor maintenance thereafter.
