Absolute Drift

Absolute Drift launched on July 29, 2015. Its most significant post-launch update was the Zen Edition, released on August 16, 2016, which added new event challenges, five Midnight Events, replays and ghost cars, a new tutorial, and controller improvements — all delivered as a free update. A hotfix followed on August 20, 2016 to address post-launch bugs from the Zen Edition. There have been no further content updates to Absolute Drift since August 2016. Funselektor Labs has remained an active studio, but their attention moved on to other projects: art of rally (launched September 23, 2020), Golden Lap (announced March 2024, launched September 26, 2024), and most recently over the hill (announced January 23, 2025). A September 2024 developer post explicitly reflects on having "managed to complete Absolute Drift and art of rally," framing both as finished works in the studio's history. The store description describes a fixed set of content — 3 game modes, 34 levels, 5 free-roaming areas — with no mention of planned additions. No DLC is listed, no roadmap has been published, and no future content for Absolute Drift has been announced at any point. The game launched as a complete product and received one major content update before the developer moved on. It is a finished game.
