Evaluation

Aerofly FS 2 launched on November 20, 2017 and received a steady stream of content and feature updates through its post-launch life. Major additions included new aircraft (B777-300ER in December 2019, EC135 helicopter in October 2020), third-party DLC from Just Flight, Orbx, and Aerosoft through 2020, and numerous feature patches improving avionics, navigation, and physics simulation. All 21 listed DLC items have been released, with the most recent shipping on November 20, 2020. The last meaningful feature patch was on February 22, 2022 (adding Steam Deck controller support), and the final developer communications were macOS compatibility bug fixes on November 15 and December 4, 2022. There have been no developer communications, feature updates, or new content of any kind since December 4, 2022 — a period of over three and a half years as of today's date (June 27, 2026). The developer has since moved focus to successor products in the Aerofly FS series. With all DLC shipped, no unreleased content listed, no outstanding developer commitments, and a prolonged silence that far exceeds the historical update cadence, the game is effectively complete. The December 4, 2022 macOS patch represents the last official developer activity for this title.
