Liftoff®: FPV Drone Racing

Liftoff: FPV Drone Racing remains in active development with specific content still in the pipeline. On June 26, 2026, LuGus Studios published a post titled "The end of an era" detailing what remained on their internal "Liftoff 2.0" to-do list. Three items were named: a Permafrost map rework, a new UI visual overhaul, and a completely rebuilt track builder. The Permafrost rework was delivered on August 3, 2026 with Update 1.7.5. However, the new UI and rebuilt track builder have not been confirmed as shipped — the June 26 post stated these would roll out to an experimental branch "this summer," and no news post since then confirms their release. The developer also closed that post by noting "even more is inbound" beyond the listed items. The game's major content history is extensive: milestone updates in April 2024 (v1.6.0), April 2025 (Rustline environment), February 2026 (Physics 6.0 overhaul), and June 2026 (Marina Bay environment), followed by the Permafrost refresh in August 2026. LuGus Studios stated in January 2025 that they are "fully committed to supporting Liftoff for another decade," underscoring their long-term intent. Development is clearly ongoing, with at least two named deliverables (the new UI and track builder) still outstanding as of the most recent developer communication on August 3, 2026.
