Age of Defense launched out of Early Access on July 29, 2024, and received several post-launch updates adding features and fixing bugs. On March 4, 2025, the developer published what they explicitly called the "Final Update" (Version 1.19), describing it as "the final update for Age of Defense" and noting that the team had "finished the work on Age of Defense this year." This was reinforced on June 25, 2025, when the developer posted again to announce they had spent the past three years working on a new game (Guards II), reiterating that work on Age of Defense was complete. There is no unshipped DLC, no announced future content, and two separate developer communications confirming that development has concluded. The game shipped as a complete, finished product as of March 4, 2025.
