Relic Guardian launched on October 22, 2025 and has received consistent developer support since, including patches, balance updates, and steady communication. The developer has explicitly and repeatedly confirmed that a paid DLC expansion is in development. The January 14, 2026 future plans post outlined the DLC in detail: a new map theme with new stages and bosses, five new defense towers, a new Pani incarnation, and a new Fran form. Subsequent posts throughout 2026 have continued teasing DLC content. The March 20, 2026 Spring Sale announcement reaffirmed that "DLC content, and more are ready in progress." A series of posts previewing individual new towers ran from May through June 2026, each explicitly stating "DLC content is currently in development." The most recent post, dated August 25, 2026, introduced a new category of characters called "X-Whickens" — Whickens with unique abilities who will join the hero on "an expedition to the Empyrean battlefield" — again confirming the DLC is still in development with new themed stages, new enemies, multiple new towers, a new Pani avatar, and new stage mechanics. A mobile version of the game is also noted as being in parallel development. Someone waiting for all content should hold off until the DLC ships.
