ALPAGES: THE FIVE BOOKS launched on October 23, 2015. Around release, the developer posted several announcements promising future content — mini-games, gameplay updates, and a "package with ten mini games" (November 3, 2015). Platform support for Linux and Mac was added in January 2016, with notes that gameplay updates and content additions were coming "prior to a future update." The last developer communication of any kind was on February 22, 2016, when they asked players to report what they wanted in the next update. That was the last word from the developer. It has been over ten years since that final post, with no updates, no new content, and no further communication. The mini-games and expanded content that were announced in late 2015 were never delivered. Given the complete silence since February 22, 2016 and the absence of any subsequent content releases, those early promises were never fulfilled and the game has effectively been abandoned in its launch state. The game is best treated as complete in the form it shipped.
