Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs

Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs launched on February 7, 2019 and received a healthy run of post-launch content across its first several years. Major additions included the Uncanny Update with 13 spooky levels (March 26, 2019), the offline Level Builder (December 12, 2019), the Level Builder Online Mode (July 2, 2020), a new Slimy Slopes level pack (October 21, 2020), and the Terror Peak world finale (January 25, 2021). The game then went quiet on major content for over two years before receiving a full graphics remaster on September 26, 2023 — the most recent major content update. Since that remaster, developer activity has shifted to maintenance mode. A December 16, 2024 patch note explicitly states the game was upgraded to the latest engine version "to keep developing and supporting the game in the future," which signals sustained maintenance commitment but does not announce new content. The major content cadence — which ran roughly every 3–9 months from 2019 through early 2021 — has not produced another release since the September 2023 graphics remaster, now over two and a half years ago. The developer's own words in December 2024 describe engine maintenance for ongoing support rather than new gameplay content. Taken together, the evidence points to a game that has reached the end of its content development cycle, with the September 2023 remaster serving as its final major update. Maintenance patches continue to keep the game functional, but no new content appears to be in the pipeline.
