Evaluation
Angry Video Game Nerd I & II Deluxe launched on October 29, 2020 as a complete package — two remastered games plus a brand-new third chapter included at launch. The store description frames this as a finished, self-contained experience with no mention of planned post-launch content.
The only DLC ever released for the game is the Official Soundtrack, which shipped on July 18, 2023. There are no unreleased DLC entries on the store.
The two developer news posts associated with this game's store page are announcements for entirely separate, unrelated games published by Retroware (AVGN 8-bit and The Transylvania Adventure of Simon Quest). Neither post references additional content or updates for AVGN I & II Deluxe itself. The remaining posts consist of minor bug fix patches and community/convention posts, with no signals of ongoing content development for this title.
The game launched as a complete product, received a soundtrack DLC in July 2023, and has seen no developer communications indicating further content is planned. It is a finished game.
