Anima: Gate of Memories launched on June 2, 2016 as a complete, standalone action RPG. Post-launch activity was limited to a small number of bug fix and feature patches in the weeks following launch (through late June 2016), with no additional content or DLC ever released for the game itself.
The developer's recent activity has been focused entirely on successor products: a remastered collection (Anima: Gate of Memories I & II Remaster) released as a separate Steam title on November 7, 2025, and a brand-new sequel (Anima: Song from the Abyss) announced in May 2026 for a 2027 release. These are distinct products, not updates to this original game. The bug fixes included alongside some of these announcements (noted in NEWS-2 and NEWS-6) are maintenance-level stability patches, not new content for the original title.
This game shipped as a finished product in 2016 and has received no post-launch content expansions. The developer has moved on to new titles in the Anima franchise. The original game is complete.
