Way of the Samurai 3 launched on Steam on March 23, 2016 as a port of the original PS3 game. All three DLC packs (a head and outfit set, a weapon set, and an accessory set) were released on the same day as the base game, indicating they were cosmetic bonus content bundled with the PC launch rather than post-launch additions. A bug-fix patch followed on March 29, 2016. After that, the game was essentially dormant until June 26, 2025, when the developer released a minor update adding Japanese language support. No expansions, story DLC, or post-launch content have ever been announced or released. The developer has never communicated any plans for future content. The game was a completed, self-contained product when it launched on PC in 2016, and the 2025 language update was a maintenance improvement rather than new content. This game shipped as a finished package and there is no indication of anything further planned.
