Sea Dogs: To Each His Own

Caribbean Legend (the remaster of Sea Dogs: To Each His Own) launched in February 2024 and has received a consistent stream of major updates. The developer shipped Patch 1.2 on June 27, 2024 and Patch 1.3 on September 11, 2024, with two paid DLC packs released alongside those patches: Vile Little God (June 2024) and Black Mark Pack (September 2024). Following Patch 1.3, BlackMark Studio published a clear roadmap: Patch 1.5 would deliver the Story Mode epilogue, boarding scenes, full sandbox improvements, new mechanics, and gamepad support. After that, Patch 2.0 was described as a major quantity and quality leap setting the stage for a sequel on Unreal Engine. As of March 28, 2026, the developer posted a teaser trailer specifically for Caribbean Legend Patch 2.0, confirming the project remains in active development. This is the most recent developer communication on record and directly references unshipped content. Patch 1.5 has not been announced as shipped in any of the available posts, and the Patch 2.0 teaser makes clear it has not shipped either — the developer is still building toward it. The developer also launched a companion title, Caribbean Legend: Age of Pirates, on March 13, 2026, and noted in that announcement that the studio intends to keep growing Caribbean Legend — describing the journey from "simple remaster" to "full-blown remake" as proof the franchise still has more to offer. No statement of completion or cessation of development has been made.
