Corsairs Legacy - Pirate Action RPG & Sea Battles

Corsairs Legacy entered Steam Early Access on January 30, 2024 and has been under sustained, active development ever since. The developer has shipped at least nine major named content updates, with the most recent being Early Access Update #15 (World Expansion) on May 18, 2026, which added the new island of Saint Vincent, a naval skills progression system, dynamic weather affecting gameplay, and significant reworks to the global map and NPC systems. Between major drops, the team regularly ships feature patches and bug fixes — including Update v0.4091 on July 9, 2026 and Hotfix v0.4085 on June 28, 2026. Most importantly, on July 28, 2026, the developer published a comprehensive 2026 roadmap laying out exactly what remains to be built before version 1.0. Six major goals are outlined: completing the main story (cutscenes are illustrated and voiced but not yet integrated), finishing the Brothel Quest with full management systems, adding 10+ new quests and activities, introducing a brand-new island (Dominica) with a player-built smuggler colony (already in early development), adding female NPCs with full models and animations, and overhauling naval combat with manual aiming and more tactical control. The developer also confirmed that after the 1.0 release, they intend to continue with paid expansions covering port management, unique ship hunting, and fleet building. The game remains explicitly in Early Access — the developer considers it unfinished — and no 1.0 release date has been announced. There is a substantial amount of planned content still to be delivered before the game reaches its full release state.
