Tempest: Pirate Action RPG launched on August 22, 2016 and received three paid DLC expansions over its first three years: the Original Soundtrack (September 16, 2016), Treasure Lands (August 8, 2017), Jade Sea (February 15, 2018), and finally Pirate City (May 29, 2019). All four DLC entries are released with no unreleased items remaining on the store.
After the Pirate City launch in May 2019, the developer continued light maintenance: a feature patch in May 2021 added new ship cosmetics and a long-range cannon, a multiplayer stability fix in September 2021, and a bug-fix patch in June 2022. In October 2023, HeroCraft released one more round of cosmetic additions — new One Piece-inspired sails, flags, and figureheads — which represents the last substantive update to the game. No new content of any kind has been announced or released since October 24, 2023.
The most recent developer communication (May 29, 2025) was a publisher-wide sale announcement that made no mention of any planned updates or new content for Tempest. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no roadmap, and no developer statements pointing to future content. The game's paid expansion cycle concluded with Pirate City in 2019, and the cosmetic additions in October 2023 appear to be the final content the team delivered. The game launched as a complete product and has been fully supported through to that point.

Hey Captain! When we created Tempest, we focused primarily on the most thrilling part of pirate life – sea battles.
As you navigate the dangerous waters of the game you won’t just catch up with merchants, but you will encounter fellow pirates, creepy followers of a mysterious cult and terrible mythical monsters: Kraken, Leviathan and other infamous creatures.
Of course, there are plenty of weapons to choose from for every battle, including cannons, mortars, flame throwers and so on. Also there are special tools ready to help you to rig the ship for any purpose. However, you can obtain the most valuable artifacts only by finishing the multilevel quests called “legends”. Good hunting!
