Nioh 3 launched on February 5, 2026 and has received substantial post-launch support, including multiple feature patches and balance updates. The game's paid DLC roadmap is now actively underway: the first expansion, "Hell Rising," launched on August 18–19, 2026 (a major update post on August 18, 2026 covers its release). The developer's July 28, 2026 announcement explicitly described this as "the first DLC" in "a new tale of conspiracy, told across two major DLCs," confirming a second DLC is still to come. Hell Rising itself adds a new open-field area set in 1651 CE Edo, two new weapon types (hoko and shield), new story content, new gameplay systems (Hundred Demon Realms Picture Scrolls), and a new difficulty mode. A Season Pass was made available the day after launch (February 6, 2026), bundling both DLCs. Players waiting for all content should expect at least one more paid DLC release before the game's content cycle is complete.
