Antipaint launched on March 11, 2024, with the developer stating at launch that "the release is just the start" and that players should "expect more things to come." That promise has been consistently delivered on: the game has received six major content updates since launch — the Rainbow Update (June 25, 2024), Coffee Update (September 12, 2024), Birthday Update (March 11, 2025), and most recently the Clay Update (December 4, 2025) — establishing a clear pattern of major updates roughly every 3–6 months. On November 26, 2025, the developer explicitly stated "More things to come, very soon!" while nominating the game for a Steam award. The most recent developer communication was a bug fix on February 11, 2026. With a well-established update cadence and a recent developer confirmation of more content ahead, the game is clearly in ongoing active development with further updates expected.
