Survivors of the Dawn

Survivors of the Dawn entered Steam Early Access on November 6, 2023 and has received substantial ongoing development since then, including four major content updates through late 2024: the BLEUMER map update (May 13, 2024), new characters and terminals (June 21, 2024), the new Armory and Rarity systems (August 27, 2024), and various feature patches and bug fixes through late 2024. The most important signal comes from a developer post on December 4, 2025, in which indieGiant acknowledged that after more than two years of full-time development, sustaining the pace of updates on Survivors of the Dawn is no longer financially viable. The studio stated they need to begin work on a next project while still planning to bring Survivors of the Dawn to a full 1.0 release — describing themselves as "already very close" to that milestone. However, no target date for 1.0 was provided. There have been no developer communications after December 4, 2025 — now more than six months ago — and no 1.0 release has occurred. Given the developer's candid acknowledgment of sustainability challenges and the shift in focus to a new project, it is uncertain whether active development toward 1.0 is continuing at pace or has been significantly slowed. The promise of a 1.0 release remains outstanding but undelivered, and the extended silence makes the timeline unclear.
