Aroma is a free-to-play visual novel that launched on December 9, 2022. Its only DLC — the official soundtrack — was released on February 28, 2023. Since then, developer news from Oyashiro.dev has been focused entirely on a separate project called MEAT-GRINDER: teasing it in December 2023, sharing artwork in April 2024, announcing its Next Fest demo in September 2024, and releasing that demo in October 2024. The only post touching Aroma itself after the soundtrack release was a minor Mac OS text and build fix on September 22, 2024. No new content for Aroma has been announced or released, no roadmap or expansion plans have been communicated, and the developer's creative attention has visibly shifted to their next title. The game appears to have launched as a complete narrative experience, with its soundtrack as the sole add-on.
