Evaluation

Beached is a free-to-play Early Access survival shooter that has received consistent and substantial updates since its August 2021 launch. Gradient Studios rebuilt the game on a new engine in January 2024 and then shipped a rapid series of major updates: version 0.05 (June 2024), 0.06 (July 2024), 0.07 (August 2024), 0.09 (February 2025), and 0.10 (May 10, 2025). This establishes a pattern of major content drops roughly every 1–4 months. The game also features a cosmetic item shop with seasonal skins, consistent with an ongoing live game. However, the most recent developer communication of any kind — including patch notes, news posts, or announcements — was the version 0.10 update on May 10, 2025. As of October 8, 2026, that is over 17 months of complete silence. This far exceeds the developer's historical update rhythm of 1–4 months between major releases. No 1.0 release date has ever been announced, no completion statement has been made, and no explanation for the extended silence has been published. The game remains in Early Access with ongoing development activity up to May 2025, but the prolonged absence of any communication raises genuine uncertainty about whether active development is continuing. The developer has not stated the project is over, but the silence is well beyond what would be expected given the prior cadence.
Evidence
Version 0.10 shipped with major new content: new weapons, monuments (Oasis Mall, Abandoned Carnival), auto turrets, first-person improvements, building system changes, and performance optimizations. This is the last known developer communication as of October 2026.

About this game

Beached is a completely F2P (Free to Play) game.

Beached is a free-to-play, third-person, low-poly survival shooter set in a massive open world where danger and opportunity collide. Battle against other players, explore sprawling monuments filled with valuable loot, and fight to survive in a harsh, competitive environment. Every choice matters—whether you’re building your base, gathering resources, or launching a raid on your rivals.

Construct and fortify your base with creative building mechanics, setting traps and defenses to ward off enemy attacks. Scavenge the world for weapons, tools, and rare items to gain the upper hand. Team up with friends or face the world alone—the choice is yours, but trust is hard to come by.

Explore massive monuments and points of interest, each hiding valuable resources and dangers. From abandoned airfield to military bases in a Volcano, every location offers both risk and reward. Stay on your toes—other players will be hunting for the same loot, and only the strongest will walk away with the prize.

With fast-paced combat, skill-based gunplay, and intense base raids, Beached delivers a thrilling survival experience where every encounter could be your last. Whether you’re fighting for control of resources, defending your territory, or launching an all-out assault on an enemy’s base, the action never stops.

Will you dominate the battlefield, or become just another survivor lost to the chaos? In Beached, survival isn't guaranteed—it's earned.
