Beyond a Steel Sky launched on July 16, 2020 and received a strong post-launch update cadence through early 2022. The developer shipped several meaningful content and feature updates: Patch #3 on September 24, 2020 added achievements, French and German voiceovers, the official soundtrack, and comic book DLC; Patch #4 on October 29, 2020 added trading cards and emoticons; Patch #6 on April 30, 2021 upgraded the game to Unreal Engine 4.26; and Update #7 on February 21, 2022 added Holo-Brooches, Steam Deck support, and Polish subtitles. That February 2022 update is the last recorded developer communication. Both DLC items (the Prologue Comic Book and Soundtrack) were released on September 24, 2020 — no unreleased DLC remains on the store. The developer has made no announcements of future content, expansions, or roadmaps following the February 2022 update, and the silence since then — now spanning well over three years — is consistent with a game that has concluded its active post-launch support cycle. The store description makes no mention of planned content or live service features. The game launched as a complete narrative adventure and was progressively polished and expanded through early 2022, at which point development activity appears to have concluded.
