BlackChain is a story-driven RTS developed solo by Borington, released on March 17, 2021. Following launch, the developer was actively engaged with the game through mid-2022, shipping a series of feature patches that added new gameplay modes, maps, units, network improvements, and difficulty options. The last update was Patch 1.1.2 on June 22, 2022. In May 2022, the developer announced a new game called Delilah and acknowledged that BlackChain had been "neglected lately." The June 2022 patch post reiterated this, noting they hoped to keep updating BlackChain "while working on Delilah." There have been no further posts, patches, or announcements for BlackChain since June 22, 2022 — nearly four years of silence as of today's date (June 23, 2026). The game has no unreleased DLC, no announced future content, and no outstanding commitments. The developer never established a cadence of major named content drops (zero major content releases appear in the post history). The post-launch activity consisted entirely of feature and bug-fix patches, which tapered off as the developer shifted focus to their next project.
