Bloons TD 5 launched on Steam on November 19, 2014, and has received a remarkable volume of content updates over its decade-plus lifespan. Ninja Kiwi continues to support the game with regular new map additions, and the pace has remained consistent in recent years.
Looking at the most recent major updates: Update 4.8 (August 11, 2026) added the Level Crossing map, Update 4.7 (November 20, 2025) added the Sandstorm map, Update 4.6 (June 2, 2025) added River Logging, Update 4.5 (October 24, 2024) added Dark Dungeon, and Update 4.4 (April 9, 2024) added two maps (Fast Track and Mosaic) plus moved two co-op maps to single player, bringing the game to 100 total maps. This pattern of major updates every roughly 6-12 months has been sustained across many years and shows no sign of stopping.
The game's 10th anniversary in November 2022 was marked with a substantial celebratory update adding a new map, a new agent, retro cosmetic skins, and a new game mode — demonstrating Ninja Kiwi's long-term commitment to the title.
