Borderlands 3 launched on Steam on March 13, 2020. It received two Season Passes covering all major story DLC: Season Pass (released March 13, 2020) and Season Pass 2 (released November 9, 2020). Both are fully released with no unreleased items listed on the store.
Since Season Pass 2 shipped in November 2020, Gearbox's post-launch activity for Borderlands 3 has consisted entirely of cosmetic additions and maintenance patches — such as free cosmetics tied to the Borderlands Collection: Pandora's Box release (August 31, 2023) and free Heroes of the Borderlands cosmetics tied to the Borderlands movie (July 18, 2024). No new story content, expansions, or gameplay additions have been announced or delivered.
The studio's focus has clearly shifted to Borderlands 4, which launched on September 11, 2025 and is actively receiving post-launch updates (its Version 1.8 update is referenced in the July 1, 2026 news post). The most recent posts on the Borderlands 3 Steam page — weekly episodes of the "Borderlands: Dead ECHOs" narrative podcast (August 2026) — are franchise marketing material, not Borderlands 3 game content announcements. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no developer roadmap, and no statements indicating additional game content is planned for Borderlands 3.
