Sniper Fury is a free-to-play sniper game by Gameloft that has been running on Steam since June 13, 2017. It is built from the ground up as a continuously operated game — featuring PvP multiplayer, Clan Wars, seasonal events, leagues, battle passes, rotating content collections, and in-app purchases including paid random items. This is a game designed to never be "finished."
Gameloft has maintained a consistent, high-frequency update cadence throughout the game's lifespan. The 49 scanned news posts include 13 major content updates and 8 feature patches. Recent major updates have arrived roughly every 1–4 months: Update 66 (September 30, 2025), Update 67 (October 9, 2025), Update 68 (December 18, 2025), Update 69 (March 19, 2026), and Update 70 (June 24, 2026 — the most recent developer communication as of today, August 19, 2026). Update 70 introduced new PvP mechanics, a new Seasonal Collection Codex with summer and upcoming seasonal themes, and quality-of-life improvements, with explicit mention of ongoing community-driven balance adjustments — all hallmarks of a game in active ongoing service.
The two DLC items on the store (a digital comic and an original soundtrack, both released in 2023) are media extras and have no bearing on the game's ongoing content operation.
There is no indication from the developer that this game is winding down. With a major update delivered less than two months ago and a years-long pattern of regular content drops, Sniper Fury is clearly operating as an ongoing live service.
