Born Again

Born Again is a free-to-play massively multiplayer hack-and-slash RPG that launched on December 15, 2023 and has been in sustained active development ever since. The game has received four major content releases post-launch: the Rebirth overhaul (version 1.1, July 2, 2024), Cicero's Inferno adding a new overlord boss (version 1.1.5, August 7, 2024), the Anniversary update introducing the first raid dungeon (version 1.2.6, December 16, 2024), and the sweeping 2.0.0 update on January 23, 2026 which overhauled the entire overworld map, combat system, progression, and introduced a new Crystal Paths skill tree. The 2.0.0 post explicitly announced a coming roadmap featuring the Sapphire Overlord, dungeons, and new skills (including fishing). True to that promise, version 2.1.6 on April 24, 2026 shipped the game's first dungeon — Kobukin Village — and the developer described it as "the start of a long road," stating that every subsequent update will add new dungeon tiers as they climb toward T3. The game also regularly runs seasonal events (Lunar Festival, Valentine's event, Halloween, Anniversary) with purchasable event quests and cosmetic rewards. The most recent developer communication was April 24, 2026 — approximately eight weeks before today — well within the game's established update cadence of roughly every one to three months. The developers have made no statements suggesting content development is winding down; quite the opposite.
