Evaluation
Budget Cuts 2: Mission Insolvency launched on December 12, 2019 as a complete VR action-adventure game. After launch, Neat Corporation delivered two meaningful content updates: a Mutators system with smooth locomotion (January 20, 2020) and the ADAM Isolation game mode in October 2021 — a new horror-style experience that reworks the game with a persistent stalking enemy. That October 28, 2021 update represents the last substantive content addition to the game. Since then, there have been no further patches, announcements, or developer communications specifically about Budget Cuts 2. The developer's more recent activity — announced in May 2025 and launched in December 2025 — has been entirely focused on Crossings, a new and separate title from Neat Corporation. No future content for Budget Cuts 2 has been announced, no unreleased DLC exists in the store listing, and the developer has clearly moved on to their next project. The game appears to be a finished product as of the ADAM Isolation update in October 2021.
Evidence
ADAM Isolation game mode launched — a new horror mode where ADAM relentlessly stalks the player through all levels. Also added seasonal decorations. This is the last content update for the game.

About this game
You made it out of the TransCorp office alive, only to discover that more than menial office tasks have been taken over by robots. Is humanity being optimized out of existence altogether? Something needs to be done.
Built from the ground-up for Virtual Reality, Budget Cuts is an action-adventure stealth game where you take down the evil robots at TransCorp.
Prepare to zip across high-speed trains, stealth your way through the TransCorp skyscrapers, sneak across warehouses, rooftop buildings, fabrication plants, server halls, and more!

The newly added Mutators Patch provides a range of locomotion options (including the smooth kind!), along with enemy modifiers, slow motion, and new weapon choices

In Budget Cuts 2 you have tons of shiny tools to help you take down TransCorp. Use the Magnifying Glass to track enemy positions and sneak past them, or take enemies down from a distance with the Bow and Arrow. Throw knives at the Supervisors to deplete their "oil", or knock enemies out with blunt objects.
How you approach each combat situation is entirely up to you, your imagination, and the number of knives you can hold in your hands (well, that, and your inventory slots).
