Bugsnax

Bugsnax launched on Steam on April 28, 2022, bundled with the free Isle of BIGsnax expansion that had been announced in October 2021. That expansion added a new biome, new Bugsnax species, over 100 challenges, housing customization, and additional story content — a substantial chunk of post-launch content delivered at launch for Steam players. Since then, Young Horses has continued to actively support the game. In October 2024 they opened a public VR beta, and on November 11, 2024 — timed to the game's 4th anniversary — they officially released a full SteamVR update as a free addition for all owners. This is a meaningful new way to experience the entire game in virtual reality, developed as a side project that evolved into a polished release. Most recently, on June 9, 2026, the studio pushed Update 2.070602 adding preliminary VR support for Steam Frame and Steam Frame standalone — showing the team is still actively extending VR compatibility. Throughout 2024 and into 2026, the developer has maintained a steady stream of feature patches and bug fixes refining the VR experience. The studio has not announced any upcoming paid DLC or named future content beyond ongoing VR improvements. However, given that the most recent update shipped on June 9, 2026 — just 15 days before today — and the developer has shown a pattern of continued investment in the game, it is too early to consider development complete.
