Evaluation

Bus Simulator 21 Next Stop launched on September 7, 2021 and received a substantial post-launch content cycle over two-plus years. This included numerous bus packs, seasonal cosmetic DLC throughout 2022, and a major free overhaul in May 2023 ("Next Stop") that introduced a new career mode, a free map extension, DLSS support, and a Gold Edition. The Official School Bus Extension followed in August 2023, and the Official Tram Extension — the final piece of paid content — arrived on November 14, 2023. All 19 listed DLC items are fully released, with nothing unreleased remaining in the store. The developer's attention has visibly shifted to the next entry in the series. Bus Simulator 27 was officially announced on July 16, 2025 (developed by a new studio, Simteract), confirmed for a 2026 release with new license partner Solaris in March 2026, and as of June 15, 2026, a free playable demo is live during Steam Next Fest. There have been no developer communications about new content for Bus Simulator 21 Next Stop since the Tram Extension launched in November 2023. The active promotion of a successor title strongly reinforces that this game's content cycle is complete.
