Car Dealership Simulator 2 entered Steam Early Access on September 26, 2025, and has been under continuous active development by a small two-person team at Quadfix Games ever since. The game has received a remarkable pace of updates, progressing from version 0.1 at launch to version 0.9.1 as of July 26, 2026 — that's 10 major content updates in roughly 10 months. These updates have brought substantial new features: motorcycles with riding mechanics, a worker NPC system (cleaners, security guards, secretaries), a dog companion system, dynamic weather, engine sound revamps, indoor parking garages, new showroom decoration and floor textures, new paint options, and a steady stream of new vehicles across every update. The developer's most recent post, the 0.9.1 Update on July 26, 2026, added 4 new vehicles and reworked exhaust backfire sounds. The preceding 0.9 Update on June 25, 2026 explicitly confirmed that a multi-customer system (allowing multiple customers to visit the dealership simultaneously) is currently in development, and promised further additions including SUV models, commercial vehicles, and new wheel options in upcoming updates. The game is actively progressing through numbered Early Access versions with no 1.0 release date or completion timeline announced.
