Evaluation

Calm Down, Stalin launched on September 8, 2016 as a complete, self-contained experience with a story mode and endless mode. After launch, the developer shipped several small seasonal and feature updates through mid-2017, with the last meaningful content update being a Victory Day patch on May 5, 2017. The developer then announced a VR version of the game in August 2019, which shipped as a separate product on Steam. On October 7, 2021, the developer released an entirely new game — Zen World — and promoted it alongside a bundle with Calm Down, Stalin. This October 2021 post is the last official communication from the developer about this game, and it reads as a promotional crosspost rather than a commitment to future Calm Down, Stalin content. There have been no patches, announcements, or developer posts since October 2021. The game has no unreleased DLC, no roadmap, and no outstanding commitments. The developer's attention has clearly moved on to newer projects. The game can be considered complete as of the developer's last meaningful engagement with it.
