Evaluation
CAR TUNE: Project is a solo-developed Early Access car tuning simulator that has been actively updated since its February 2020 launch. Developer Bartosz Bieszka works on the game in his spare time alongside a full-time job, which means updates come less frequently than a fully staffed studio — but they do keep coming.
Three major content updates have shipped: Update 0.6.5 (December 21, 2021), Update 0.6.6 (December 30, 2023), and Update 0.7.0 (August 3, 2025), the latter introducing multiplayer mode. These have been accompanied by regular feature patches and development status posts throughout the game's life.
Most recently, on August 13, 2026, the developer published a detailed development update confirming that work is ongoing. The developer is currently about halfway through building a "Driving School" feature — a long-planned but technically challenging addition — and is simultaneously laying groundwork code changes to support future features. The post also outlines several additional ideas actively under consideration: Steam Workshop car support, a career or mission system, a used parts marketplace, and a customer car repair system. This is the most recent developer communication and leaves no doubt that the game is still being actively developed.
The store description also explicitly notes "Ongoing development — frequent updates, new parts, cars, and community-driven features." No 1.0 release date or completion announcement has been made, and the game remains officially in Early Access.
Evidence
Developer posts detailed update confirming active development: Driving School feature is roughly halfway complete, Workshop car support partially in development, and additional features (career/mission system, used parts, customer car repairs) are being planned.
New Year post explicitly states: 'A new year means new updates, new ideas, and even more polished mechanics. There's a lot of work ahead.'
