Cat Quest II launched on September 24, 2019 and received a steady stream of post-launch content. The first major addition was the New Game+ mode on November 19, 2019, followed by the free "Mew World Update" on August 8, 2020 (which added a new game mode, new enemies, a sprint mechanic, and quality-of-life improvements), and finally the "Infinity Update" on December 10, 2021, which added a new Infinity Dungeon with tough enemies, a boss fight, and a new gear set. This update appears to be the last major content addition to Cat Quest II.
Since December 2021, the developer's attention has visibly shifted to Cat Quest III — announced in August 2023, launched on August 8, 2024, and celebrated with its own anniversary content update on August 8, 2025. There have been no further announcements, patches, or content releases for Cat Quest II since the Infinity Update. The store description makes no mention of planned future content, and no unreleased DLC is listed. The developer has not made any statement about Cat Quest II being definitively "done," but the absence of any activity since December 2021 combined with the full launch and ongoing support of a sequel strongly indicates that Cat Quest II's content cycle is complete.
