Evaluation
Catch Me If You Can is a free-to-play tag/chase game that fully launched on October 28, 2022. Since launch, the developer has shipped a series of content updates: Update 1.1 on November 1, 2022 (bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements), the Egyptian Oasis map in version 1.2 on March 25, 2023, and Update 1.3 — the Oblivion-inspired map — on August 28, 2025. The developer stated in November 2022 that they would "continue to deliver content," and the August 2025 update demonstrates that commitment was followed through even years after launch.
The three major content drops establish a release history, though the intervals are irregular: roughly five months between the 1.0 launch and the Egyptian Oasis map, then about two and a half years before the Oblivion map. Given this uneven cadence, the interval between major releases can range from several months to well over a year. As of today (October 8, 2026), it has been approximately 13 months since the last major update (August 28, 2025). While this is a longer gap, it is not dramatically out of step with the developer's history of sporadic releases. No developer statement has indicated that development is wrapping up, and no specific future content has been announced.

About this game

Round-based action. The "curse" eliminates players one by one until the last man standing wins.
Utilize your grappling hook to get around the map fast. There are bouncy walls for you to gain momentum. Be warned, you have limited energy on your grappling hook and need to wait for it to recharge after usage.
When cursed, you have to pass it on to another player as fast as possible. If you are cursed when the timer runs down, you will EXPLODE.
Find powerups scattered around the play area to enhance your movement.

- Powerups scattered around the map to give players an advantage.
- Proximity voice chat so you can speak as your friends pass you by.
- Dynamically crafted soundtrack with music changing as the game progresses.
- Equippable cosmetics that get dropped after rounds.
- Lobby settings to include a twist on the default gameplay.
- Different maps to choose from, all with their own unique style.
- Easy to learn, hard to master. The grappling hook alone can provide you with hours of fun, and you can learn by swinging while waiting for a new round to begin.
