Evaluation
Cattle Country launched on May 27, 2025 across PC and consoles. Since release, Castle Pixel has maintained an active cadence of major named content updates:
1. **Beneath and Beyond** (July 28, 2025) — the first major post-launch update, adding mining depth, new tools, aquariums, and farming automation.
2. **Family Life Update** (October 31, 2025) — the second major update, introducing marriage and children mechanics, Halloween seasonal content, and new farm layout options.
3. **Bandits & Bounties** — announced on August 17, 2026, scheduled to arrive on August 24, 2026 (today), bringing bounty hunting, bandit camps, store robberies, a tailoring table, new outfits, expanded inventory, and more.
In addition to the major updates, the developer has run community polls (including one on September 1, 2025) asking players to vote on what to prioritize in upcoming updates — a clear sign of ongoing planning and community-driven development. Not everyone in Cattle Country is the warm and fuzzy type, so watch out for nefarious plots and shady characters. Protect your homestead and your community.
Rodeos to Romance
Making friends is a must in the Wilderness, relying on each other through the thick and the thin. But maybe you've got a yearnin' for more? With 18 romanceable characters, take a chance and grab love by the reigns.
Buried Treasure
