Pawsome Resort launched into Early Access on June 22, 2026 and has maintained a strong development pace since. Pixel Puffs shipped two hotfixes on launch day and the day after, followed by a quality-of-life patch on June 26. On July 11, 2026, the studio published a comprehensive Early Access roadmap spanning through at least Q1 2027 and beyond. The August 7, 2026 major update confirmed the developer is delivering on that roadmap: it completed the July 2026 milestone by shipping character customization options, new pets, fishing traps, Steam Deck support, and a range of quality-of-life improvements. The post-update note explicitly references the remaining roadmap items — home expansion, new NPCs, animal interactions, and decoration items — as the next horizon. Looking ahead, the roadmap still has significant content to deliver: home and resort expansion, new NPCs and customers, decoration items, and deeper animal interactions are targeted for Q4 2026; new animals (capybaras and otters), new habitats, resort area expansion, combat mechanics for cave expeditions, new quests, minigames, and a dialogue overhaul are planned for Q1 2027; and co-op, marine life, dinosaurs, and fantasy creatures are longer-term aspirations. A temporary store delisting occurred around July 8, 2026 due to a trademark dispute over the Japanese localized title. The developer addressed the issue promptly and the game is currently available for purchase — this was an administrative matter with no impact on development. The developer has been consistently communicative and is actively executing on a publicly stated roadmap. The game is well into its Early Access journey with substantial content still planned.
