Chaos

Chaos is a free-to-play online FPS that launched on April 28, 2020. In the months following launch, the developer (Frinky) shipped a steady stream of weekly feature updates through mid-2020, adding weapons, maps, and gameplay systems. In June 2020, Frinky announced Chaos 2.0 as a ground-up rebuild with new features, and followed up in February 2021 with a blog post confirming Chaos 2.0 was actively in development. However, the 2.0 rebuild never materialized as a public release, and there have been no further updates to Chaos on Steam after February 2021. The most recent developer communication is from June 16, 2026, when Frinky announced a Steam Next Fest demo for a new, separate game called "Bang Shoot" — and explicitly noted "It's not Chaos 2," signaling that project is distinct from any Chaos continuation. The store description still references "More To Come..." in the weapons list, but this language dates back to 2020 and no content has shipped since. The last substantive update to Chaos itself was over five years ago. The 2.0 rebuild was never delivered. Frinky has moved on to a new game. The base game launched as a free-to-play product and, in practice, has been complete since its initial content updates concluded in mid-2020.
