Chasing Sunsets

Chasing Sunsets is a story-driven visual novel developed in episodic chapters. It graduated from Early Access on August 18, 2024 with the release of Chapter 9, and the final story chapter — Chapter 10 (the epilogue) — shipped on July 26, 2025, completing the main narrative with all eight planned endings. The developer explicitly called this "the final content update" in both the pre-release announcement on July 15, 2025 and the Chapter 10 release post. However, the developer has an outstanding commitment beyond the story content. In both the August 26, 2024 roadmap post and again in the July 15, 2025 pre-release announcement, Stone Fox Studios stated their intention to revamp the Prologue and at least Chapter 1 — bringing the older art and animations up to the quality standard of later chapters. This was described as a planned v1.11 update. As of October 1, 2026, no post confirming that update has shipped has appeared, and the developer's last communication of any kind was on July 31, 2025 — more than 14 months ago. The developer's silence since July 31, 2025 is a concern. There is no indication of whether the promised polish pass is still being worked on, has been quietly abandoned, or is imminent. With no update or explanation in over a year, it is not possible to confirm whether this remaining commitment will be fulfilled.
